Spring weather in January?

We left Oklahoma Tuesday morning. Rain and wind were our constant companion as we made our way east deadheading to Charlotte, North Carolina.

Weather updates warned of torrential rains and possible tornadoes across the highways we would be traveling.

Wednesday the forecast was for more rain and winds. There was some concern with hail from time to time. Tornadoes touched down in the northeastern portions of the US. We had a long deadhead before us. Over 1,000 miles and slated to reach Charlotte, North Carolina Thursday morning.

We arrived in Charlotte to find dry conditions with a little wind. Joe has a couple of Volvo trucks he will be delivering to Burbank, California.

This time we are under a time crunch. The trucks have to be delivered Tuesday. This is doable, as long as there are no mechanical failures along our route of 2,400 miles.

There is a table in the sleeper section of the truck Joe is driving.

I’ve laid claim to it. Have my crafting totes in the truck and will be making use of that table later today.

Hope you all are well and getting ready for the big Superbowl weekend here in the US. Sunday, February 3rd is the big football day.

Happy to hear you made it safe to N.C. We have had bizzare weather with this front. We went from 61 when I sent the kids off to school a couple days ago to -14 with wind chills this morning !!!!! Can you say yikes 🙂 any ways we are all home this afternoon and enjoying a nice afternoon then off to see my Mom who is feeling somewhat better today Yay!! Can’t wait to see what you get done with your crafty goodies.

Glad to hear your Mom is feeling somewhat better. Takes the pressure off you for a bit.

Holy Moley! 60’s one day and Shazam – minus temperatures the next. I see from the Weather Channel you are getting snow. Stay warm and dry all of you.

      Love you – Leslie

Wow, that truck actually looks like it’s in pretty good shape. I didn’t know you could have a small dinette area in the back of those trucks; I’ve only seen areas to sleep, so this one is pretty cool! I vote for no stamping if you’re gonna try to craft while Joe’s driving!

Not just a small dinette in this truck, there is a sink! as well. Never saw such a thing before.

Might prove interesting to stamp while Joe is driving 😃. Can it be any worse than when I do it at home? Well, maybe a bit worse 😀

      Love you – Leslie

Take care you two 🙂 We have had high winds and heavy rain here too although today was gusty winds and some sunshine but still a very determined nip in the air. The poor Aussies have had severe floods and hurricanes too – so what isn’t ablaze is under water!
So much extreme weather of late.
    Love and hugs
    Lynn xx
