The “YUCK” Factor

We picked up these trucks in Salt Lake City, UT last Friday.  They are going to Spartanburg, SC.  The same place we delivered the last Peterbilts to when the truck I was towing “flipped” its lid.

The Pac Lease place we are going to will have quite a bit of work to do on most of these trucks.  The hoods have all been damaged in one way or another.

Strapping the hood

This time we are taking NO chances on the hoods flipping open on us as we travel.   Both of our back trucks have straps criss crossing the hoods to keep them in place.

Most of the time we get these truck after they have been detailed on the inside.  They have been cleaned out of all trash, the floors vacuumed and cleaned, dashboards and instrument panel cleaned and Armor All’d, ready to go to work.  Not this time.  Three of the trucks are in decent enough shape to spend hours in.  The truck I am towing is FILTHY!!!!!  I don’t even want to imagine what it looked like before the person got their personal stuff out of the truck.  What was left behind tells a story all by itself.

After viewing these photos you might feel the need for a bath, or at the least getting out the Clorox Wipes to clean your computer area.

About Message In A Fold

I am an over the road truck driver in Drive-Away Transport part of the year, and the sole bookkeeper of this operation the other part of the year. I do a lot of whining until I can get in my craft room and play with paper and glue. View all posts by Message In A Fold

That is NASTY! It’s going to take some poor soul DAYS to clean that truck! Pity the soul!

Oh yuck! What slob drove that truck around? If the truck is like that I dread to think how they live at home 😦 Did the folks at the pick up place refuse to clean this one? I certainly would have done, dread to think what is amongst that filth.
Oh Leslie how did you manage to stay in that truck whilst giving it the check over?

    Love and hugs

OMG!!! I know!!!! Some of the “repos” or voluntary repos that are left at the dealerships are left as they come in. They probably had to get it out of town quickly since the driver still lives in the area. Have to wonder what they spent their money on…it sure was not “Pride of Ownership”.

Still gives me the creeps and shudders.
      Love you – Leslie
